Jellyfish Portraits

“I took a swim in the Indian Ocean. Emerald water all around me, and finally a glimpse of the peace I had come to seek during a depressive episode. Suddenly, a jellyfish stung me. I started looking for it, but it had disappeared. Elusive, painful, and unpredictable. Just like my anxious thoughts. After this, these sea creatures, with their unique blend of sensuality and pain, have started haunting my paintings.”
